We released a new & priced version of Txtract on Android Market.

Txtract 2.0 dropped the banner display. We also stopped the usage of Internet connection, since the updated Market application already have the application-update feature.

We are very keen on supporting our users, so if you have any questions, please give us a buzz here.

Thanks,
Cem (on behalf of Brilaps)

Txtract 2.0 SMS Backup for G1 Android is the priced version of Txtract. FYI; the free version is already downloaded almost 15K times and as far as we know all the kinks with the application is fixed. It's been stable, durable, highly rated and liked by the folks who used it.

We priced Txtract 2.0, at $2.99 (USD). It's not a whole lot of money for what you're getting out of it. So please don't get frustrated because the free version disappeared from the Android Market.

We also pledge to donate 10% of the proceeds to Open Source projects.  $2.99 will not hurt you, but it would surely give us the encouragement to make the product better, and also it would help other projects that we'll opt to support.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in the work that we put out in the wild,

Brilaps

hi there, unfortunately no. deleted messages are deleted. no intermediary "trash" mechanism in the core "Messaging" app.
